Landlord Clemente Suero is holding an open house to promote the five businesses in the High Street Plaza in Fairport.
The property has been through many changes over the last decade. Suero closed his Italian restaurant, Clemente’s, over 10 years ago, and since then has split the area into separate suites to make room for new tenants. Five new businesses have since moved into the space.
Suero said he hopes the open house on Feb. 18 will help them celebrate their success with the community.
“I don’t want to promote the plaza,” he said. “I want to promote the people who are in the plaza.”
Because it’s located off Main Street, this retail spot can sometimes be tricky for customers to find. Nevertheless, the landlord said this hasn’t kept people away.
“When you’ve got good stuff, people find you,” he said.
Each of the businesses will be offering special deals. For example, Jozeppi’s Pizzeria will give away free pizza, and Rhythm Connect owner Ed Keegan will be offering free drum lesson demonstrations and family classes.
