Moonlight Creamery, an ice cream shop in Fairport, is hosting its second annual Scholarship Day to benefit college-bound students on Thursday, July 1.
Student employees will take over all store operations, marketing and event planning that day, with 100 percent of the profit earned donated by Moonlight Creamery to offset students’ college expenses and contribute to a scholarship fund to support another student in the community.
Last year’s Scholarship Day raised more than $1,750 for staff awards and to fund the Fairport Dollars for Scholars Moonlight Creamery Future Leaders scholarship for another deserving Fairport High School senior.
