Bryan Weinstein, a 2008 Fairport High School graduate, graduated summa cum laude from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the engineering physics department along with the Elmer Stewart Memorial Award and the Case Alumni Association Prize for outstanding achievement in physics.
Weinstein will attend Harvard's Applied Physics Ph.D. program in the fall. The Department of Energy Office of Science granted Weinstein a fellowship to completely pay for his tuition and research while at Harvard. This fellowship recognizes outstanding academic accomplishments and research preparedness.
He is one of 50 given this award nationally.
