Jefferson Avenue Elementary School fourth-grader Jack Dugan received the Jack Welch Memorial Award last year for being kind, caring and respectful and having a good sense of humor. We asked him a few questions for our regular student profile.
What is your favorite subject?
“Social studies. I like that I get to learn about the past and what happened like in the Revolutionary War.”
How did it feel to win the Jack Dugan award?
“It made me feel good that I won against so many other students in Jefferson Avenue.”
Who is your favorite teacher?
“Mrs. Driscoll, she teaches music. She’s funny, and she sings very well.”
What do you want to be when you grow up?
“I want to be a lawyer or an actor, but all my friends want me to be in an improv group. I’ve always had a passion for acting. When I’m a laywer, I think I can just help people with something they can’t do.”
