Claudia Nolan of Fairport earned a bachelor's degree from Wells College in Aurora.
Nolan majored in history and minored in theatre, graduating summa cum laude with distinction, and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. She was awarded Wells' 2012 Helen Gertrude Dean '25 Prize for dramatic expression.
The ceremony took place on the shore of Lake Cayuga, on the lawn of the Aurora Inn on May 26. One hundred nineteen Wells students earned their diplomas this year as part of the college's 144th commencement ceremonies.
