But instead of leaving the matter to the police, she takes it upon herself to hunt the vermin down and destroy him. The plot sounds so ridiculous that it comes as little surprise that the film will not be prescreened for critics.

Another year, another awful Tyler Perry movie; this one centered on a wealthy businessman (Tyler Perry) being taught “important” life lessons by his impossibly beautiful cleaning lady (Thandie Newton). Gabrielle Union plays the titan’s soon-to-be jilted fiancée. Like “Gone,” this one is being withheld from the predatory eyes of eviscerating movie critics.
ACT OF VALOR
Actors and active-duty Navy SEALs join forces for this fictional mission to stop a potential terrorist attack. Nice idea, but is this the best use of our nation’s elite fighting men? It also presents the notion that the government’s need for revenue is so desperate, it must resort to renting out Seals to Hollywood to generate cash.

In a documentary that arrives about a decade too late, director Charles Evans Jr. proffers the idea that the tobacco industry lied about the addictive properties of cigarettes. Wow! Such earth-shattering news! Did this guy not see “The Insider,” or the “60 Minutes” report Michael Mann’s Oscar-nominated film was based on?
