Yasmin Neal, a Democrat, on introducing a bill that would ban men from having vasectomies unless their lives were threatened. The bill is real, but it is satirical, meant to highlight women’s rights, Neal said. The bill says, "It is patently unfair that men avoid the rewards of unwanted fatherhood by presuming that their judgment over such matters is more valid than the judgment of the General Assembly. ... It is the purpose of the General Assembly to assert an invasive state interest in the reproductive habits of men in this state and substitute the will of the government over the will of adult men."

At least 49 people were killed and 600 injured when a train crashed into barriers at a train station in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Wednesday. Officials believe their were problems with the train’s brakes, causing it to slam into the barriers at 16 mph.
