Bethel Christian Fellowship will host a benefit concert featuring local performers singing arias from various operas under the musical direction of Robert Shewan.
The concert will take place at the fellowship, 321 East Ave., Rochester, from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 20.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. For more information and to purchase tickets call 585-385-0450.
All proceeds go to support a newly opened orphanage for girls in Pune, India that now houses 23 girls. The Girls Home of Pune rescues girls from the street and provides them with a safe home in a new facility. A full-time caretaker, two housemothers, and a cook ensure that all their needs are met. They attend local schools every day.
