May is National Water Safety Month, and Design Pool & Spa, Ltd. in Fairport will host an American Red Cross "Hands-Only CPR" class on May 22 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The class will instruct participants about the correct safety skills needed in the event of an emergency. Students will learn how to apply hands-only CPR, a technique used in out-of-hospital settings like the backyard while waiting for EMTs or paramedics to arrive on the scene. Hands-only CPR does not use mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
The class is free and open to the first 20 registrants.
