Playing one another for the first time in this century, the Webster Schroeder baseball team held off East Rochester, 13-10, on Tuesday afternoon at Basket Road Complex.

The Warriors are in Class AA while the Bombers are in Class C. The two teams have not met since before ER left the Monroe County League, however both teams were looking for a game, the matchup came about.

The Bombers scored a run in the top of the first, but then gave up four runs in each of the next two frames.

Schroeder built a 12-1 lead after four innings, but ER rallied for eight runs in the fifth to pull within three.

Trailing 13-9 in the top of the seventh, the Bombers plated one run and brought the tying run to the plate.

However, Schroeder ended the game on a fielder's choice to post the Warriors initial victory of the season.

Schroeder senior Conrad Ziemendorf collected four hits with two runs scored and one RBI. Seniors Emmett Ozminkowski and Nate Parker recorded two RBI and scored two runs apiece.

Trey Pascazi went 2-for-2, including a triple and sacrifice fly, scored two runs and had two RBI for ER (1-4).
