Due to uncertain weather conditions, the youth pond hockey tournament scheduled for this weekend in Fairport has been canceled.
The tournament planned for Feb. 9-10 was the first of two consecutive weekends of fun on the frozen Erie Canal.
At this time, organizers are waiting on the weather to determine whether the adult tournament set for Feb. 16-17 will also be canceled, according to event organizer Scott Winner.
Saturday's figure skating exhibition at the Fairport Junction ice rink at noon will continue as planned.
