St. Ann’s Community is having not one but two grand opening ceremonies this Saturday, May 12.

The ceremonies, at 1:30 p.m. on St. Ann’s Irondequoit campus, 1500 Portland Ave., and at 3 p.m. on the Webster campus, 900 Cherry Ridge Blvd., will mark the opening of two new buildings: The St. Ann’s Transitional Care Center in Irondequoit and the St. Ann’s Care Center at Cherry Ridge in Webster."

The new centers have been designed and built to provide truly person-centered health care to local seniors, and are expected to greatly change the way St. Ann’s serves its residents and short-term patients from local towns.

The new buildings were created with hotel-like accommodations with flat screen televisions, Wi-Fi and, on the Irondequoit campus, even a Bistro Café with gourmet coffee, pastries, and light meals. Country kitchens will enable staff to cook for residents and patients.

The new St. Ann’s facility in Irondequoit will be the only transitional care center in the Rochester area that is freestanding.

Both buildings are also expected to add a significant number of jobs to the market.
