Democratic candidate Harry Bronson has won election to the 138th District of the New York State Assembly.
Bronson won 63 percent of the vote in Monroe County compared to Republican candidate Peterson Vazquez's 37 percent.
Bronson has been a member of the Assembly since 2010, in which he represented the 131st District, encompassing parts of the City of Rochester as well as Chili, Churchville, Mumford, Riga, Rush, Scottsville, and Wheatland. Previously, he served in the Monroe County Legislature.
The 138th New York State Assembly District includes the towns of Chili and Henrietta, as well as part of the city of Rochester.
