A woman is facing charges after police say she bit a K-Mart employee after she was caught shoplifting. The incident happened at the K-Mart in Chili.
Monroe County Sheriff's Deputies say the employee spotted Cheryl R. Burrell concealing multiple products that included fragrances, clothing and a watch. When confronted by the loss prevention employee, investigators say Burrell began to began to resist and struggle with them. Deputies say Burrell then bit the employee in the stomach.
Burrell is charged with third-degree assault and robbery. She is being held on $50,000 cash bail.
