The Friends of the Rochester Public Market has announced a logo contest.

The not-for-profit group is searching for a new logo design to depict its role as both a champion and partner of the city's public market.

Friends of the Rochester Public Market help support the market with a cookbook, titled "At the Heart of it All," as well as the annual Artist Row event. The group is also responsible for the token program and operates the market trolley.

The logo design contest winner will receive market merchandise, $100 in market tokens and a cash prize of $200.

Applications and designs are due March 17. The winner will be announced in April.

The Rochester Public Market Office is located at 280 N. Union St.
