Investigators say 26-year-old Sir Jordan Steinfeldt of Rochester is facing serious charges after an investigator, posing as a 15-year-old girl, continued to message Steinfeldt for several days. On Dec. 9, Ontario County deputies say Steinfeldt drove to a business on West Main Street in Victor in an attempt to pick up the girl without her parents knowledge. Deputies say Steinfeldt was going to take her to Buffalo for the weekend to have sexual relations.

A Rochester man is facing charges after deputies say he attempted to take a 15-year-old girl to Buffalo from Victor.

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Department says they received a report that a 15-year-old girl had been receiving inappropriate text messages from an unknown man. Deputies say it appeared the man was trying to get the girl to meet him at a hotel without the knowledge of her parents.

Investigates identified the man as 26-year-old Sir Jordan Steinfeldt of Rochester. An investigator, posing as the 15-year-old girl, continued messaging Steinfeldt for several days. On Dec. 9, deputies say Steinfeldt drove to a business on West Main Street in Victor in an attempt to pick up the girl. Deputies say Steinfeldt was going to take her to Buffalo for the weekend to have sexual relations.

Steinfeldt was arrested after he pulled into the parking lot and charged with attempted kidnapping. He was remanded to the Ontario County Jail on $30,000 cash/$60,000 bond bail.
