The Rochester Area Vegan Society will host Sherry Colb as she presents “Feminism and Using Animals for Food” at 7 p.m. Jan. 15 at Brighton Town Park Lodge, 777 Westfall Road, Rochester.
Colb is professor of law at Cornell University, where she teaches courses in animal rights. She is the author of “Mind if I Order the Cheeseburger?” and co-author of “Beating Hearts: Abortion and Animal Rights.”
A vegan potluck dinner will be at 5:30 p.m. Attendees should bring a dish with enough to serve a crowd, a serving utensil and a their own place setting. RAVS members are available to help make a vegan dishes.
The meeting is free for RAVS members and $3 for the general public.
