Geva Theatre Center, 75 Woodbury Blvd., Rochester, and Bop Shop Records will present cabaret artist Marissa Mulder for “Marilyn in Fragments” at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 20 and “Tom...In His own Words, the songs of Tom Waits” at 8 p.m. Jan. 21.

“Marilyn in Fragments” is crafted from the letters, poetry and diaries of Marilyn Monroe, with songs ranging from Cole Porter to Nine Inch Nails. The performance invites the audience on a journey with the complex, timeless American icon. Mulder will be accompanied by Jon Weber on piano.

“Tom...In His Words, the Songs of Tom Waits” explores the beat poetry and jazz-influenced music of Tom Waits. The performance will include “Nighthawks at the Diner,” “Ol’ 55,” “Saturday Night” and “Jersey Girl.” Mulder will be accompanied by Weber on piano, Ritt Henn on bass and Mike Rosengarten on guitar.

Tickets cost $25 in advance, $30 at the door and $40 for VIP seating and a post-show meet-and-greet.
