Broadway’s hit musical “Wicked” will return to Rochester from March 29 through April 9 at Rochester Broadway Theatre League’s Auditorium Theatre, 885 E. Main St.

“Wicked,” which was adapted from Gregory Maguire’s 1995 novel, is the tale of an unlikely friendship between two women in the Land of Oz: Glinda the Good and Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West. The play takes place years before Dorothy arrives in Oz.

The play is the winner of over 100 international awards, including a Grammy and three Tony awards. “Wicked” features music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and book by Winnie Holzman. It is directed by Joe Mantello and staged by Wayne Cilento.
