The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce recently named Adrian Hale as its strategic initiatives manager.
President and CEO Bob Duffy created the position to enhance community outreach, align Rochester City School District students with workforce development efforts, participate in the Rochester Monroe Anti-Poverty Initiative and manage the execution of special projects.
Hale worked as an intern at GRCC during the summers of 2015 and 2016 while he was a student at Yale University. He is a RCSD and Monroe Community College graduate and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served in Afghanistan.
“Adrian brings a wealth of life experience to Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce,” Duffy said. “His youth and enthusiasm serve him well as our chamber moves into the future. Using his own personal journey as inspiration, Adrian will work on initiatives to help students complete school and go to work. He will also be heavily involved in supporting our efforts with young professionals in assisting our Office of Future Leadership.”
Hale graduated from Yale with a Bachelor of Arts in political science in December 2016.
“I’m excited to return home to Rochester and use the wealth of opportunities that I have received to give back and help others who share my background and life experiences achieve their maximum potential,” Hale said.
