Maurice Cox, director of city planning in Detroit, will continue the Community Design Center Rochester’s 12th annual Reshaping Rochester series with “Designing Detroit: Rebuilding by Reconnection” from 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 9 at Gleason Works Auditorium, 1000 University Ave., Rochester.
Cox, an expert in community design and the former mayor of Charlottesville, Virginia, will share his vision for rebuilding Detroit, which includes innovative land use, building renovation and new construction. He will discuss how he is leveraging healthy neighborhoods to help rebuild the city.
Tickets cost $15 for general admission, $10 for seniors ages 65 and older and free for students with an ID.
