The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra will reveal its 2017-18 season with a season preview concert at 7 p.m. Feb. 7 in Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre, 26 Gibbs St., Rochester.
The 75-minute concert will feature the orchestra playing excerpts from the upcoming season, which opens in September.
Music director Ward Stare and principal pops conductor Jeff Tyzik will share their thoughts on programming the RPO’s 95th annual Philharmonic and Pops series, as well as Sunday matinee, OrKIDstra and holiday concerts. They will discuss next season’s special concerts and guests artists.
Stare originated the live preview concerts in his first year as music director.
Admission to the concert is free, but advance tickets are required.
Subscription packages will go on sale at 10 a.m. Feb. 8. Subscribers will have access to various options and price points. Single tickets will go on sale in July. Packages are available by phone, online and at the RPO Patron Services Center, 108 East Ave., Rochester .
