According to MCC, the alleged perpetrator is not currently in custody and the college is urging both employees and students to be safe.

On Sunday, Monroe Community College sent a message to students and employees in regards to an alleged sexual assault that is thought to have happened Saturday evening.
According to MCC, the alleged perpetrator is not currently in custody, and the college is urging both employees and students to be safe. They encourage anyone who has information to reach out to MCC Public Safety by calling 292-2912. They can also call 911.

“This morning, Sunday, Jan. 29, MCC officials learned of an alleged sexual assault last evening in the Brighton Campus residence halls. The alleged perpetrator is not in custody. MCC Public Safety is working with Brighton Police on the investigation. If you have any information, please contact MCC Public Safety at 292-2912 or 911.”
“The safety of our college community is our highest priority. MCC students and employees are encouraged to be aware of your surroundings and exercise caution at all times.”
