The New York State Long-term Care Ombudsman program at Lifespan, 1900 S. Clinton Ave., Rochester, is in need of volunteers to join a team of advocates for older adults living in nursing homes, assisted living and adult care communities.
Ombudsmen have the opportunity to nurture the human spirit and preserve dignity with just a few volunteer hours each week by protecting residents’ rights, resolving problems and empowering older adults to have the highest quality of life and care.
Applications are being accepted for state mandated certification training April 27-28 and May 1-3.
