Our sincere thanks to the Irondequoit Post and to Linda Quinlan for the fine tribute to our Dad, Norris Jay Platt, who passed away April 16, 2012. Linda's well-written article in the May 3 Post expressed his love for family and community, especially Irondequoit and the Ridge-Culver Fire Department. As a 75-year member of the department, he served as a dedicated volunteer firefighter and also fire commissioner.
We thank the Ridge-Culver Fire Association for their generous part in the celebration of his life on May 12 at the fire house, his second home. Their help and involvement was much appreciated by his family.
