The East Rochester Police Department reported the following incidents:
Jan. 4: Police responded to an address on South Lincoln Road for a domestic dispute. A man was arrested on charges of criminal contempt for violating an order of protection and harassment. He was arraigned before a judge and sent to the Monroe County Jail on $2,500 bail.
Jan. 4: Sometime overnight, someone drew graffiti on the side of the Lobster Trap on Fairport Road.
Jan. 5: Police responded to a motor vehicle accident at Fairport Road and Marsh Road. Upon arrival, the officers observed two vehicles with their hazard lights on. The driver of the striking vehicle was inside his car on his cell phone and refused to get out. When he finally did, he could barely stand and had to brace himself against the car. He continued to act in an aggressive manner to the officer. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, felony aggravated unlicensed operator, following too closely, and resisting arrest. A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded a knife and 200 ml bottle of Southern Comfort. He was transported to the Monroe County Jail.
Jan. 7: While on routine patrol, three males were observed in Edmund Lyon Park after hours. They were charged under the village ordinance and issued appearance tickets. One of the suspects was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
