  • LETTER: That letter had to have been satire — right?

  • No one would seriously use that as the basis for criticizing a veteran superintendent leading a continuously high-performing district (including a 92 percent graduation rate), would they?

  • I used to lament the absence of humor columns such as Kevin Frisch’s on the Messenger Post editorial page. But that void has been filled by the seemingly endless supply of laugh-inducing letters from Robert Ament.
His latest comic masterpiece: Disparaging West Irondequoit Schools Superintendent Jeff Crane based on Mr. Crane’s background as a physical education teacher prior to becoming a school administrator. Hilarious! I mean, no one would seriously use that as the basis for criticizing a veteran superintendent leading a continuously high-performing district (including a 92 percent graduation rate), would they? He’s got to be kidding … right?
The old joke goes, “Doc, my brother’s crazy; he thinks he's a chicken.” And the doctor says, “Well, why don’t you turn him in?” The guy says, “I would, but we need the eggs.” Keep ranting, Mr. Ament. We need the eggs.
