  • A man is facing charges after police say he stole king crab legs from the Tops grocery store in Canandaigua and then led police on the pursuit.
The suspect was stopped a short time ago by State Police on the I-490 exit ramp at the Bushnell's Basin exit.
The incident happened shortly before noon.
Ontario County Sheriff Philip Povero said a State Police car was closest to the incident at the time, and picked up the pursuit on Route 332.
Police said the man stole the crab legs from the store, switched the license plates on his vehicle and took off.
No one was injured in the pursuit, which took the driver and police through Farmington and the village of Victor before ending up on Route 490.
In addition to the petit larceny charge, he will also be facing several traffic violations.
