In tennis Naples defeated Geneva and Newark defeated Midlakes. There are also results from boys and girls track and field meet at Wayne.
Red Jacket 4 DeSales 3
In Geneva, the Red Jacket Indians scored two runs in the first on Danielle Ogrodowski’s two-RBI double, then added two more in the seventh off of a two-out Megan Hotchkiss two-RBI double to put the Indians up 4-3 after the host Saints scored three runs led by Rachel Ficcaglia’s two-RBI double in the sixth. Red Jacket’s Ogrodowski finished with three hits on the day.
Hotchkiss was the game's winning pitcher, allowing two hits while striking out 14.
Alyssa Durette pitched for DeSales, striking out nine.
Honeoye 22, Bloomfield 2
At Bloomfield, 15 runs in the last two innings easily put away this Finger Lakes League game for the visiting Bulldogs. Kylie McBride was the winning pitcher for Honeoye while teammates Taylor Pestle, Kelsey Cornish and Megan Leitten all had doubles. Leitten added a home run —as did teammate Cornish— and another double to lead the Bulldog bats.
Brittney Hastings and Shannon MacDowell led the Bomber bats with two hits apiece.
Mynderse 25, Marcus Whitman 3
In Rushville, up 12-3 the visiting Blue Devils scored 13 runs in the sixth inning to lay claim to this Finger Lakes League win. Gabby Deal was the winning pitcher for Mynderse, giving up the three runs on four hits. Teammates Abby Dygert, with a two-run homer in the sixth, and Sydney Rodgers, with four hits that included two doubles and a triple, led the Blue Devil offense.
Midlakes 4, Wayne 2
In Clifton Springs, the host Screaming Eagles keyed this Finger Lakes League win on three runs in the fourth. Nicole Wright went 2 for 3 with a three-run home run to lead the Eagle bats while teammate Alexis Baxter pitched the complete-game win.
Gananda 24, Clyde-Savannah 1
Tiffany Gregoire went 3 for 3 with a triple and 5 RBIs for the Blue Panthers. Peyton Wyyad went 3 for 3 with 4 RBIs and Kelly Kier went 2 for 5 with 3 RBIs. Gananda is 14-1 and 14-0 in the Wayne County League.
Victor 6, Webster Schroeder 1
At Victor, Pete Carrier, going 3 for 3 with a double, triple and three RBIs, along with two hits each from Dale Wickham and Tommy Wagner led the Blue Devil bats while teammate Pat Metzger got the win, going six and one-third innings, giving up no runs on five hits, striking out six and walking five for Victor (7-2, 12-3).
Mike Denimarek led Schroeder with two hits.
Wayne 12, Midlakes 2
In Clifton Springs, the visiting Eagles saved their best for last, scoring 10 runs in the last two innings of this non-league game. Gabe Ortiz was the game's winning pitcher, going the distance, striking out 10 while also nailing a two-RBI home run in the sixth.

At Canandaigua, Connor Simmonetti, going 2 for 2 with a solo home run and 2 RBIs, Don Zambelli, also 2 for 2 with two RBIs, John Coughlin, with a triple, and Dave Vaccaro, 2 for 3, led the visiting Red Raider offense. For Canandaigua, Sean Outhouse went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs.

In Gorham, Sean Ruddy was the Blue Devils' winning pitcher. Mynderse collected nine hits to Whitman’s 6.

In Geneva, all in straight sets, Ben Pulver, Niko Milans, and Ben Price claimed singles-match wins over the Big Green while Luke Iverson/Jordan Ratt and Gawain Robinson/Jericho Cervantes captured doubles-match wins.
Newark 4, Midlakes 1
At Newark, Jason Simmons of Midlakes claimed the lone point for the Screaming Eagles while James Jock and Jon Norris won second and third singles matches for Newark. Closing out the wins for the Reds were B.J. Blair/Ryan Kreuser and Curtis Mason/Tyler Collins
Irondequoit 16, Victor 11
Hannah Savage and Aly Fries each scored three goals for the Blue Devils. Olivia Dehm and Shannon Hackel recorded two goals apiece. Megan Maloney chipped in one goal and two assists and Jessi Thon dished out three assists. Jenny Ryan and Liz Nussbaum combined for nine saves in goal.
Lisa Rogers scored five goals for Irondequoit. Lauren Gerrie added three goals.
Victors host Honeoye Falls-Lima on Friday.

Williamson 85.5, Wayne 81.5, South Seneca 61, Waterloo 31
In Ontario Center, Williamson’s Cassidy Bishop won four events; the 400 hurdles (1:10.44), the 1,500 (5:18.72), the 400 (1:06.44) and the 800 (2:38.24). Winning for Wayne was Jenna Siracuse in the 100 hurdles (17.64), Adeline Runkle in the high jump (4 feet, 8 inches), Ariel Ashline-Winters in the pole vault (8-4) and the long jump (15-6.75) and Quinn Hennessy in the triple jump (31-2).

In Ontario Center, Cory McNamara won four events for Wayne, winning the triple jump (41-6.5 inches), the long jump (20-8.75), the 200 (23.84) and the 100 (11.23).
