Heritage Christian Services, an agency that serves children and adults with developmental disabilities, is helping employees raise money for Haitian earthquake relief efforts.
Already, more than $2,400 has been raised in a “change war” hosted in the agency’s corporate office in East Rochester and its regional office in North Tonawanda, Niagara County. (Employees deposit change into each other’s jars. The person with the least amount of change wins.)
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the earthquake victims in Haiti,” said Bob Pieters, president and founder of Heritage Christian. “We’re happy to direct 100 percent of the money collected to the American Red Cross. The Change War motivated people to spring into action and support the relief efforts… and we had some fun around the office, too.”
